The Infernal Machine is a year and a half mediation on ‘nothingness‘ recorded through a continuous pen scribble between 2001-2003 on 9 interconnected panels. The piece reflects on reality as a flowing mass of interrelated and interconnected objects, forces and processes from which our limited senses filter out our individual and fragmented perception of what reality is. The Infernal Machine can be though of as our mind, our consciousness, our id and ego, our body as a sensory whole, our flawed process of separating experience into fragments of time and space.
