This series continues what I was doing at the Proyecto’ Ace residency where I was using water from Río de la Plata in Argentina as a medium. I will be creating pieces of the different broken trees in the Etobicoke Creek ravine. I like the dramatic nature of the shapes they take and the connection between destruction and creation which they represent. After all by falling down they open up the canopy so that more light can reach the surface and allow for secondary succession. It is a quite drama and part of the continual cycle of how landscape is shaped.
